The D8 Refugee Community Sponsorship group is hosting an online ArtRaiser Christmas sale towards the resettlement of a family from a war-torn country into a new home in Dublin 8 whose arrival is imminent. Established and emerging artists, many of whom are from the area, who have generously contributed current work for auction include Eamonn Doyle, Maser, Aoife Scott, Alice Fitzgerald, Fionn McCann, Lola Donoghue, Cian McLoughlin, Shane Sutton, Robyn Carey, Martin Healy, Gareth Joyce, Elaine Leader, Colin Martin, Seán Molloy, Malcolm McGettigan, Eoghain Phelan, Eve Woods, Mark Cullen, Derek Fitzpatrick, with more to be announced.

Derek Fitzpatrick is a Dublin-born, Kildare-based artist and painter, represented by The Duke Street Gallery and Trinity Gallery in Dublin, and Barbara Stanley Contemporary Irish Art, London, UK. Duke Street Gallery is holding 'At the Edge of the Shadow', a new exhibition of his paintings.

Robyn Carey is a printmaker, painter, and curator from Dublin. She creates primarily abstract expressionist silkscreen prints and acrylic paintings. Her work at its core is an exploration of relationships, both physical, mental, and theoretical. She explores this through expressive, gestural mark-making coupled with abstracted structures.

Aoife Scott is an Irish artist, based in Dublin. In 2013 she graduated from the National College of Art and Design with an honours degree in Fine Art Print and Visual Culture. Upon graduating Aoife received The Graphic Studio - Graduate Award where she worked for four years before moving to London in 2017 to study a Masters in Fine Art Print at The Royal College of Art. Having recently moved back to Dublin Aoife is working towards various exhibitions and projects in 2020. She remains a full time member of The Graphic Studio and has recently joined Pallas Project/Studios.

Roisín McGuigan is a painter living in The Liberties. A graduate of NCAD, Burren College of Art and Turps Art School, London, she has regularly exhibited at Paul Kane Gallery, and as part of Cork European City of Culture at the Crawford Gallery of Art, at the Hun Gallery, New York, most recently at the Rugby Art Gallery & Museum in the UK.
Her work featured in 30 Years, Artists, Places, a major survey exhibition of Irish Art, which toured nationwide from 2015 – 17 and was exhibited as part of the European City of Culture Programme in Matera (Italy) in 2019.
